Us Open: Carlos Alcaraz headed over Jannik Sinner
On the eve of the start of the Us Open, world number one Carlos Alcaraz sent a message to his rival Jannik Sinner, whom he could cross paths with again in the quarterfinals after their splendid match in 2022.
"That match è remained in the history of the US Open. It's the one that è ended most late in the tournament, è also the longest I have played so far. It's been a match of the highest level, a great battle".
The Murcia tennis player hopes for an encore: "I hope we will get to cross each other again in the quarters and that we can show the world another good match", are the words to Supertennis.
Alcaraz takes the pressure off himself: "I don’t want to think that I have to defend the title, that I am the defending champion…. I have clear ideas about what I have to do. I have been training 100 percent, I have good feelings to face the tournament in the best possible way".
