Us Open: poster featuring Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner generates controversy
As with the Wimbledon poster, there was no shortage of controversy over the promotional image that Us Open organizers released on social media Sunday, on the eve of the start of the season's final Slam.
The U.S. Slam poster portrays Carlos Alcaraz and Iga Swiatek, the two world number ones, in the very foreground, while the other challengers are on their sides and portrayed smaller.
Also among them are Jannik Sinner and Novak Djokovic: resentful Nole fans have been vocal on social media about their idol's somewhat sacrificed position.
Among the many tennis players included are Medvedev, Murray, Gauff, Jabeur, Ruud, Pegula, Sabalenka and Venus Williams.
