Dan Peterson, who has been in Italy for 50 years, gave a long interview to Corriere della Sera: "I feel’very Milanese. I get there in ’78, when Olimpia hires me and I choose to live there when I stop coaching in ’87. Our house in Città Studi, once close to the Olimpia headquarters, convenient also the’airport, Linate, the Gazzetta dello Sport, my newspaper, television in Cologno Monzese. Then do we want to talk about Brera? It remains the area where Unesco, because of its beauty, can’put its headquarters. I am not a fan, but I like and follow with affection Milan and Inter: there are many Milanese sides of me".

"Whyé have I never driven? Better soì I avoided a danger to the Milanese. Then in Milan they are impatient, they have an easy horn with those who do not drive well and fast".

Closing remark on retirement: "È it was the biggest mistake of my life. Well, I had come to the end, I was very tired, even a little bit’ exhausted. Then I didn’t want to hold my company, Olimpia Milano, hostage, force them to wait, at least a month, for my decision. Soì I chose to quit".
