Red Bull, Max Verstappen sets goal ahead of Suzuka
Max Verstappen’s words ahead of the Japanese GP
.
After the negative weekend in Singapore that interrupted Red Bull’s domination of 15 consecutive victories, Dutch driver Max Verstappen è expressed himself in no uncertain terms ahead of the Suzuka GP that could give the Milton Keynes team its sixth Constructors’ title.
"After the race in Singapore, the team has a great desire to do well in Japan. I am looking forward to racing in Suzuka, which is a very fun track to drive because it has many high-speed corners. I also have very good memories of this track. I won my second world title here and we had a great team result with a one-two finish. Moreù back to 2014, I drove an F1 for the first time during FP1. I will spend a few days in Tokyo ahead of the weekend, which should be fun and help us get rid of jet lag. We have to do everything right this weekend and of course the goal è to win and try to close the books for the Constructors" World Championship, said the Dutch driver to the official Red Bull channels.
To the team’s official channels, in addition to the reigning champion, teammate Sergio Perez è expressed himself: "Singapore è was an unlucky and painful weekend, so I hope that in Suzuka we will be fit again and we can be stronger. Japan è a circuit we all love and I think the car will be back to its best. The problems we had in Singapore I hope will not continue to affect us. Last year I enjoyed driving at Suzuka in difficult conditions, fighting with Charles until the last lap, and these are the races I like. The first sector è one of the best all season, è difficult but great. We have to get back to victory this weekend, that can be the only goal for us, I am confident and looking forward to it".
