Mario Ghiacci keeps a low profile

Mario Ghiacci, vice president of Pallacanestro Trieste, spoke to Sportal.it on the sidelines of the presentation of Allianz Geas Basket, in Milan, Thursday. "We hope that it will be a season as protagonists, in a new championship for us becauseé è a few years that fortunately we had not played it, but I would say that there'è a great competition – he stressed -. I believe that this year'A2 brings some very strong teams, such as Udine, Cantù, Trapani, Verona, Torino… so it will beà a championship of high level".

"Promotion goal? Definitely sì, but not è a single goal as I said before, we are in many teams to fight for it, so for this very reason I think it is a championship that will become very interesting – he added -. It's clear that it would like to be a touch and go the A2 to return to A1 becauseé our American ownership believes a lot in this".

"The ownership has made shared and important choices: we have taken a manager who è the best manager in basketball last year, which è Michael Arcieri, who has all the proxies and è entered the track 'with a leg up' as I say, and to be able to make a good championship" continued the vice president of the Julian club.

"The market, I must say the truth, I have followed it as a spectator and not as a protagonist in recent years and I am very satisfied. In my opinion è a strong team, but as I have already said, there is no lack of competition" Ghiacci concluded.
