Max Verstappen è was also the best in qualifying for the Japanese GP. 

The world champion lined up the McLarens, who in turn managed to do better than the two Ferraris.

Also placed between Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz was Sergio Perez. On the fourth row were the Mercedes cars of Lewis Hamilton and George Russell.
