Providing a counterpoint to the interview was the performance of two actors as Matilde Serao (Silvana Filippelli) and Oscar Wilde (Gianfilippo Falsina Lamberti), who gave voice to late 19th-century Naples through two champions of elegance and style who actually frequented Naples in that era. The evening opened with the reading of the article, published on October 7, 1897 in Il Mattino, in which Matilde Serao announces the arrival in Naples of the famous dandy, a pretext to relive the atmosphere of late 19th century Naples so well described in “Il ventre di Napoli”.
