F1, Christian Horner is confident about Toto Wolff
Christian Horner gets out of line on Mercedes’ competitiveness
A few days before the Qatar GP that could give Max Verstappen his third consecutive world title, Red Bull team principal Christian Horner, at the microphones of Sky Sports UK, wanted to send a clear message to his rival Toto Wolff and Mercedes.
"For me, sport è a matter of rivalry; and è it is great to have such a heated one with Mercedes. The important thing, forè è is that there is respect. Wolff has not è been seen much in the last two years, but I am sure he is plotting something. I think they have something they are working on, we are talking about a team with great drivers. I’m sure they will try to react" began the British team principal.
"It hurts when you lose. If it doesn’t hurt, then you shouldn’t be doing this job. We had a long period, six to seven seasons of pain. We were bridesmaids, but we never lost sight of what our goal was. We wanted to be the team that would break Mercedes dominance, and everything goes in cycles. At some point someone will beat us too. Whether it is Mercedes, McLaren, Aston Martin is not è given to know, but we can only focus on ourselves" added Christian Horner.
