Genoa, Alberto Gilardino candid about Mateo Retegui
Alberto Gilardino has no doubts about Mateo Retegui
Alberto Gilardino, at the microphones of 'Dazn', spoke among other things about one of the most awaited men of Genoa’s season, the blue striker Mateo Retegui, who at least in these first outings of the season is showing what good things were expected in the Rossoblù house.
"He's a player with incredible margins of improvement – said, sweeping away any doubts, the Grifone coach -. He has the desire to grow, already; this è a very positive aspect. Where can he è improve? Shoulders to the goal, in the cleanliness of ball control, but he is valuing us".
"On the whole,” Gilardino added, “Mateo è a player who feels the games a lot, but at the same time I suggest that he should not be obsessed with scoring goals: he has to play for the team, and in these first games he has shown that he knows how to do it".
Retegui, class of 1999, è arrived in Italy this summer, curiously enough after playing (and scoring) with the national team jersey. This early in the season he scored two goals in the Coppa Italia against Modena and three in the league, against Lazio, Napoli and Roma.
