During an intervention on "Domenica Sportiva" on Rai 2, former Italian tennis player Adriano Panatta è returned to talk about the potential of Jannik Sinner in the continuation of his career.
"The fact that Sinner equaled my record doesn't bother me, it's not like I'm always thinking about it. In fact, I can't wait for him to win Rome, Paris and Davis Cup in a row so you won't call me anymore. He è a very good guy and tennis player. I am sure he will win a lot" began the former Italian tennis player.
"It's right that he says to make his own race also becauseé è what everyone should do. The ranking in tennis, then, matters up to a point. What matters are wins in the big tournaments. Now he has to aim to win Slams and I am sure he will win 2,3,4 of them, becauseé I am sure he has the skills to do it" added the'former world number four.
"However, there'è too much media attention. Fortunately, he, being a not so Latin character, doesn't give a damn about all the talk and knows perfectly well that he has to focus on winning real tournaments, the two-week best-of-five-sets" concluded Adriano Panatta.
