In the fiery bout staged at the Sheffield Arena, Leigh Wood beats Josh Warrington by TKO in the seventh round and retains his world belt. A battle, this one, that was truly electrifying, with the challenger literally dominating the bout before the knockout he suffered.

The champion suffered the aggressiveness of the Leeds boxer, who often closed him on the ropes by hitting him with hooks to the body and face. Wood è seemed destined to abdicate his title when, with ten seconds left in the seventh round, he found a deadly right hand, followed by a combination of blows to the face that knocked out his opponent.
