Genoa defender Mattia Bani è took to the microphones of Radio Sportva for a long talk. Here it is.

Did Genoa deserve a little bit more in the standings, coming to this break with the crushing defeat against AC Milan?

“I think there were episodes in the previous games as well where we could have picked up a few more points. But we are happy with what we did, remembering that we are a newly promoted team. So the’commitment è as well double”.

“It depends on Osimhen or Lukaku’s day. Absolutely. Però I think Krstovic is a very good striker and he is showing that. But in general I think in Italy there are a lot of benchmark strikers who have done well in the past and will continue to do well. For us defenders è it is always fundamental to be ready and to work departmentally”.

“I am very proud of that. I think climbing each category especially as a defender is even more difficult. Maybe a striker with goals in one season can climb even two or three categories. “I think every path is different. It helped me a lot on the path, climbing various categories. It trains you more, you get used to playing in more difficult situations. Are you the most complicated player to mark in practice?

We have to analyze the individual goals that sometimes came by chance, by the skill of the opponents or by our own shortcomings. We are constantly working with the coach to try to improve.
