Good news for Rafa Nadal who will play the 2024 Australian Open. This was announced by the tournament director, Craig Tiley, on the sidelines of the presentation of the first Slam of the season.
"The 2022 Australian Open champion has been working hard to recover from injury. He always gave his best in Melbourne and no one can doubt the strength of his competitive spirit. I have been in touch with his team, è he is back on the court training and aims to return to Melbourne in January", Tiley words.
The 37-year-old Nadal, a 22-time Slam champion, has not played at all since the Australian Open 2023 when he suffered a hip flexor injury during the match he lost to Mackenzie McDonald in the second round.
