Marcell Jacobs has ambitious goals for the Olympic year
Marcell Jacobs spoke on the sidelines of the fourth Golden Flames rally at the Coni Hall of Honor, commenting on his imminent departure for America after changing coaches. Echo his words reported by the’Ansa.
"Not an easy decision, but I am an athlete who is never satisfied. What comes è an Olympic year and I have to prepare myself as best I can. I will leave on the 30th for this new adventure and I am very confident, because I will be followed by a coach who has brought so many medals home and with an important team. I can't wait".
"After the Games a few medals we brought home, but I wanted to do better and the change gives me a lot of confidence, he added-the Olympic 100-meter and 4×100 relay champion. What gives me confidence is that no one has run less than 9”80 in these two world championships. So it means that if I am well, I am competitive. I would like to defend both the European Championship title in Rome and the Olympic gold in Paris”.
On the time remaining to prepare for the Games Jacobs then concluded: "It seems like many days but it is very few, the preparation will be new and everything will change, but I am looking forward to this new adventure".
