AC Monza announced that it has received today from FIFA, through the FIGC, notification of the first-degree ruling of the Spanish Anti-Doping Commission, issued against the footballer Alejandro Dario Gomez, known as ‘Papu’.
"The sentence provides for the disqualification for two years from sports activities – reads the note of the Brianza club -.In the biological samples of the footballer è the presence of Terbutaline was found. This is a drug taken to quell a bout of bronchospasm, in October 2022, when the player was registered with Sevilla FC. The positivityà è resulted from an’unintentional intake".
AC Monza concluded the note by explaining that it reserves the right to evaluate the next procedural steps.
