Juventus, contract renewal for Federico Gatti

Here is the official statement with which Juventus, on its official website, announced the renewal of Federico Gatti’s contract until 2028. In practice, the 25-year-old defender, a native of Rivoli, province of Turin, has signed a one-year extension since; initially the expiration of the contract was in 2027.

“We are happy to announce that Federico Gatti has renewed his contract with Juventus, until June 30, 2028.

Fede, acquired in January 2022, è joined the team the following summer, and immediately won everyone over. His main figures are self-sacrifice and humility; step by step, Gatti è became a player who already – after a little more than a year – è is fundamental to the team on the field and to the group off the field.

His desire to improve è continues, just as his progress continues: just think of his latest tests on the field, crowned first with a goal in the Derby and then with a great game at San Siro.

And these are certainly not two cases: Gatti’s goals in bianconero are three, and since he has been playing for Juventus, no Italian central defender of teams present in the two seasons in Serie A has scored more, considering all competitions.

As for defensive value, in the same period no Juventus defender è has been skipped on dribbles less times than him on average (0.26 per game, 9 dribbles conceded in 34 games).

So let’s enjoy the good news we started with: Federico Gatti è bianconero until 2028!”
