Imoco Conegliano won the Italian women’s volleyball Super Cup for the sixth consecutive year. The Panthers overcame Allianz Vero Volley Milan in the final in three sets, with the partials of 26-24; 21-25; 25-23; 25-20.
At PalaModigliani in Livorno, Paola Egonu and her teammates tried in vain to contain the strength of the Venetian squadron, which won the trophy for the seventh time in its history (solo record).
Santarelli’s team è was led by opposite player Isabelle Haak, scoring 25 points, also doing well were setters Robinson-Cook and Plummer with 8 and 6 points each, respectively.
L'Allianz after a good start è was penalized by the physical problems of Paola Egonu and Myriam Sylla, both held back by cramps. Egonu still finished with 21 points.
