The Dane was in a ballot with Pierre Kalulu for the place in the center of defense left vacant, for today’s match, by the disqualified Malick Thiaw. At this point Pioli will have to make a necessity of necessity and virtue by directly deploying the Frenchman in the center of the backline in the company of Fikayo Tomori.

On the bench, however, the solutions are now very limited: in fact, the only central role that Pioli will have on the bench will be Marco Pellegrino, a 21-year-old Argentine arrived from Platense who has not yet made his official debut in a Rossoneri jersey.
