Fifa, Luis Rubiales disqualified three years for kissing Jenni Hermoso
Luis Rubiales è has been disqualified for three years by Fifa after the storm sparked by his kiss to Jenni Hermoso after the final of the Women’s World Cup won by Spain. The former president of the Iberian Football Federation has 10 days to appeal.
"The FIFA Disciplinary Commission has banned Luis Rubiales, former president of the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), from all football-related activities at the national and international level for three years, having found that he acted in violation of Article 13 of the FIFA Discipline Code".
"This case concerns the events that occurred during the FIFA Women’s World Cup™ final on August 20, 2023, for which Mr. Rubiales had been provisionally suspended for an initial period of 90 days".
"Mr. Rubiales è was informed today of the terms of the FIFA Disciplinary Committee’s decision. In accordance with the relevant provisions of the FIFA Disciplinary Code, he has ten days to request a reasoned decision, which, if requested, will subsequently be published on legal.fifa.com. The decision remains subject to possible appeal to the FIFA Appeals Committee".
