Former Mike James knocks out an Olympia in confusion. Messina opens Pangos case
Fourth consecutive defeat, fifth knockout in the Euroleague for Ettore Messina's Olimpia Milano, beaten at home by Monaco 72-66 in a game valid for the sixth day of the Euroleague.
After a good first half, closed with a two-point lead of 37-35, Milan è dropped sharply in the second, accomplice to the difficulties in attack: leading the guests è was former Mike James, top scorer of the match with 21 points, while the Armani were not enough Shields and Hall, respectively 17 and 15 points. In the standings now Olimpia è last with one win and five losses, Monaco è sixth.
Pangos è was ruled out by Messina: "It was a technical choice, then we will see later, not è final. We were competitive today, we made mistakes that cost us the victory but we fought the whole game, defending better against a'very good team".
Messina talks about important step forward: "Especially from the point of view of attitude, I didn't see the softness of the last few outings. Mirotic’s position? We put him in at the end of the market, we jumped at the chance but rightly we have to find him the space and find the right balance".
