Max Verstappen faster even than the rain: è on pole at Interlagos

Max Verstappen beats even the rain and takes pole position for the Sao Paulo Grand Prix at the Interlagos circuit with a time of 1’10”727. Second è the Ferrari of Charles Leclerc who will start with him on the front row. Eighth is the’other Maranello Red, that of Carlos Sainz.

Q1 starts a quarter of an hour late because the track has to be cleared of debris left by cars from a side race. There’è danger of rain but so far it doesn’t fall, eliminated Yuki Tsunoda and Daniel Ricciardo with the AlphaTauri, Valtteri Bottas and Guanyu Zhou with the Alfa Rome-Sauber cars in the midst of which there’è the Williams of Logan Sargeant.

On the third row were the two Mercedes cars of Lewis Hamilton fifth and George Russell sixth, seventh Lando Norris with the McLaren, eighth Sainz, ninth Sergio Perez with the second Red Bull and tenth Oscar Piastri, who with the second McLaren did not set a valid time because he went off the track at the beginning of the last minisession.
