F1, George Russell can’t explain it
George Russell è sincere: "There was no rhythm, but we do not know whyé"
After being forced to retire in the final stages of the Brazilian GP, Mercedes driver George Russell bluntly analyzed a very complicated weekend for the Brackley team, as also witnessed by the eighth place finish of teammate Lewis Hamilton.
"It's clear that we did something wrong this weekend. We had no rhythm, but we still don't really know the reasons why. It's clear that you don't go from a podium-worthy car to one that's a second behind the leaders, so it's been very strange. We thought Saturday had been an isolated case, but it è was not so. We were skidding the tires too much and I think the performance we did was the best we could get from the car" began the British driver at the microphones of "Sky Sport F1".
"We suffered from high oil temperatures in the Power Unit and that forced us to retire. This crowned a very difficult and negative day for us. Now we have to go back to the factory, regroup and work on what we did to improve the situation before the last two races of the season" added George Russell.
