F1, Verstappen has no certainties: "The track penalizes us"

Max Verstappen scattersà from the second position on the grid in the Las Vegas GP, but the Dutch driver è actually finished third behind the two Ferraris Leclerc and Sainz in qualifying on the Strip.

The world champion admits that nothing more could be done with the Red Bull: "Today we were a little behind on the dry lap and we tried to make the most of everything. The track, with that kind of corners, is not è positive for our car and we had already seen that in Baku, at a stage of the year when we were still moreù dominant".

"The same è happened in Singapore and now è happened here. Low-speed corners and big braking are not suitable for our car, just as depressions and potholes are not for us. This è why we are behind on the dry lap".

Looking ahead to the race, Verstappen does not say he is sure he can win as he did the other times but he has hope: "The Ferraris have been fast all weekend, but tomorrow tire management will also count" a lot. Whoever can do it better will win. Yesterday I felt pretty good during the race simulation, so hopefully the situation can be similar tomorrow".
