Jorge Martin triumphs in Valencia Sprint

Jorge Martin è still alive in the fight for the title. In fact, the Spanish centaur won the Sprint Race of the Valencia Grand Prix, in which Pecco Bagnaia finished fifth, thus postponing to Sunday the decisive verdict to determine the MotoGP 2023 world champion.

The Pramac rider finished ahead of Brad Binder’s KTM and the Honda of a brilliant Marc Marquez. Completing the Top 5 were the Aprilia of Maverick Vinales and the Ducati of Pecco Bagnaia, who appeared to be struggling. Right behind the Ducati Gresini of Fabio Di Giannantonio and the Mooney VR46 Racing Team of Marco Bezzecchi. Alex Marquez and Johann Zarco also went to the points.

With this victory Martin gained 7 points on Bagnaia, now 14 lengths distant. The Piedmontese rider only needs fifth place in Sunday’s race to confirm himself world champion, regardless of the Spaniard’s result.
