Val d’Isère, giant slalom and slalom for 11 Azzurri

Eleven are summoned by dt Max Carca for the weekend’s trip to Val d’Isère, where a men’s giant slalom and slalom are scheduled. Organizers have set up the competition terrain as best they can and obtained the green light from the FIS (International Ski and Snowboard Federation) on the state of the snow.
Everything is è ready, then, for two days of competition, to pick up the thread after the Gurgl slalom, at the moment the’only race held by the athletes. So the giant racers will debut, in Saturday’s race (start at 9:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.), while the slalomers will be at the secondagain (start at 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.).
And here are the eleven Azzurri called to compete on the French snows: Luca De Aliprandini, Giovanni Borsotti, Filippo Della Vite, Hannes Zingerle, Simon Maurberger, Corrado Barbera, Tommaso Sala, Tobias Kastlunger, Alex Vinatzer, Giuliano Razzoli and Stefano Gross.
There are still four entrants for the third leg of the men’s ski jumping World Cup, which lands on the HS140 ski jump in Klingenthal, Germany. They are the confirmed Giovanni Bresadola, Francesco Cecon, Alex Insam and Andrea Campregher.The program includes qualifying on Friday, Dec. 8, and the two races on Saturday, Dec. 9 and Sunday, Dec. 10.
