In an interview with CBS the eternal Serbian outfielder, 37 years old in 2024, sent a warning to his rivals: "Young people like them who are very hungry and very inspired to play their best tennis against me are extra motivation".

Alcaraz beat him in the Wimbledon final, while Jannik Sinner è managed to get past him twice in two weeks, first in the round robin of the Atp Finals, then in the Davis Cup: "I think they awaken some kind of beast in me. I will retire" when the young people start kicking my butt. But for now it doesn".

Djokovic won three out of four Slams in 2023, plus the Atp Finals: "Alcaraz above all è a complete player like I haven’t seen in years. È a great opportunity for me to reinvent myself and push more than I ever did".

On the relationship with Federer and Nadal: "We are not friends, but rivals. È difficult as athletes to be close and share some personal aspects or weaknesses that then could be used against ourselves. We have shared the stage for soì many years and always with great respect, at least on my part towards them. I hope that someday, when the curtain comes down, we can sit and talk and reflect together. That would be great".
