Varese shingle: long stop for Davide Moretti

Bad news arrives in the home of Varese Basketball. The Lombard club, in fact, will have to give up its guard Davide Moretti for at least a month. The red-and-white basketball player, injured in the last round of the championship against Happy Casa Brindisi, suffered a third-degree injury to the left hamstring.

"Pallacanestro Varese announces that Davide Moretti, during last Sunday’s championship match against Brindisi, suffered a third-degree injury of the left hamstring muscle" reads the note issued by the white-and-red club -. The player, who has already started the rehabilitation program set by the white-and-red medical staff, will be re-evaluated in four weeks".

Moretti, so far, has scored an average of 13.8 points per game in the first part of the season, also dishing out 4.1 assists and 4.0 rebounds. In FIBA Europe Cup, however, he scored 12.0 points on average in the first 5 games, also with 3.2 rebounds and 3.0 assists.
