Nikolay Davydenko gets out of line on Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz

During an interview given to the microphones of "Championat", former tennis player Nikolay Davydenko wanted to give his opinion on the potential of those who are bidding to become players on the ATP Tour in the near future, namely Jannik Sinner, Carlos Alcaraz and Holger Rune. In addition, the former world number three wanted to categorically refute the possible comparison between their rivalry and that created by the big 3 (Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer).

"I think players like Daniil Medvedev, Alexander Zverev and Stefanos Tsitsipas are still able to establish themselves over this new generation of tennis players. They are no longer 18 years old, but right now I don’t see anyone who can replace them right away. Now Alcaraz, Rune and Sinner have arrived, but I think it will take some more time before the new generation surpasses the current one" debuted the former Russian tennis player.

Later the former world number three wanted to speak words of praise towards Novak Djokovic: "He's unique. He plays with the technique and experience that he has always accumulated when he was also playing with us. He è stayed true to his physical characteristics, tried to maintain strength and concentration. I realized that with his style of play he can beat anyone. He è a clear example of how the Big 3 generation will always remain stronger than this new generation headed by Alcaraz, Sinner and Rune".
