The future of Nicolò Melli

Nicolò Melli, the Olimpia Milano captain, could be the subject of a €2.5 million-a-year offer from Partizan, according to Flavio Vanetti of Corriere della Sera. Currently, Melli is about to see his three-year contract worth about 2 million euros net per season, signed in 2021, expire.

In case of a move to Partizan, the player would find coach Zeljko Obradovic, who was instrumental in his training, even leading him to play in a EuroLeague final during their time at Fenerbahce.

However, there would be great optimism regarding a new multi-year agreement between Olimpia Milano and its captain, similar to what happened in the past with Shavon Shields. Melli’s future still remains uncertain, but the Milanese club seems intent on retaining him at all costs.
