MotoGp, Ducati: Enea Bastianini sees the end of the tunnel
Enea Bastianini è ready for 2024
The year 2023 was supposed to be the year of consecration, with the arrival in the official Ducati team alongside Pecco Bagnaia, instead it è turned out to be one of the most ù difficult for Enea Bastianini, forced to two long stops due to injury and never really protagonist, except for the Malaysia weeekend that saw him finish ahead of everyone at the checkered flag of the Grand Prix.
Speaking to 'La Gazzetta dello Sport', the newly-26-year-old (he turned 30 on Dec. 30) spoke about future prospects, declaring himself optimistic: "The season è has been very complicated,” he said, “however, I like to look at the glass half full. It's been a year that will help me grow. A victory came, in Malaysia, and next year I know where I have to start".
Next year will be his second year in the factory Ducati team: "In the factory team è everything is more difficult – admitted 'Bestia' -, becauseé you have to relate to a lot more people: this, forò; è one thing I got used to quite quickly. What I adapted less to è was getting hurt many times! Speaking of work, I would say that what I did inside the factory team was very similar to what I did at Gresini. Similar but … all a bit ’ more complex".
Bastianini has completed only eight of the 20 race weekends of the 2023 season: as many weekends missed due to injury, four those in which he did not complete the race due to a crash. In any case è came however the great satisfaction of victory in Malaysia, the fifth success in his MotoGp career after the four obtained in 2022 riding the Desmosedici of Team Gresini.
