Hakan Calhanoglu puts a point

Milan è the past not to be regretted, Inter è the present and the future. That's the extreme summary of Hakan Calhanoglu's thoughts in an interview with Sportmediaset on the much-discussed move to Inter Milan, on a zero-parameter basis in the summer of 2021, after four seasons spent on the opposite side of the Naviglio, in the Rossoneri.

"Everyone thinks I left because of economics but money is not always everything,‖ said the Turk, returning to his choice.

The most important thing for me is to feel important, and that is what I feel here. The Rossoneri fans say I have done wrong, given the lost Scudetto in 2022? I wish them the best, but with patience we will see ".

The goal, after two Italian Cups and as many Super Cups, all with the Inter jersey, is to enrich his own trophy cabinet: "Between the Scudetto and another Champions League final I choose the first one – Calhanoglu confided. Juve say they are aiming for fourth place? I don’t listen to what they say and anyway I don’t look at the opponents, I only think about us".

The almost 30-year-old Turk (he will arrive in round figures next Feb. 8) è in his third season with the Inter shirt, a club where he è reinvented himself as a low director in Simone Inzaghi’s 3-5-2. Before the Nerazzurri adventure, he played in Germany (the country where he was born) for Karlsruhe, Hamburg and Bayer Leverkusen, before moving to Italy.
