Federica Brignone commented with some regrets about her third place in the Kranjska Gora giant slalom. "I am happy to start 2024 on the podium, è always important to stay in the top positions – the words reported by Fisi –. The conditions were not easy, you had to dare a lot and maybe I did not. I thought I attacked well in the first run, but in the middle part I should have maybe gone more straight, I realized that I could have pushed even harder with bib number 1".

"I am sorry that I lost so much in the lower part of the second run, because" è è as if I had missed a little piece, I was not able to give 100% as on other occasions – admitted the Valle d’Aosta woman -, but in the end I am satisfied: really it was a tough race, also and especially for the public that followed us".

"Now I’m going to Passo San Pellegrino with my companions to do two days with long skis because I haven’t put them on since mid-December, when we raced in Val d’Isère. Two supergiants and a downhill in Altenmarkt await us, è a slope that evokes good memories for me, I hope to continue in this way" concluded Brignone.

With her third-place finish in the women’s giant slalom in Kranjska Gora, the Valle d’Aosta woman has touched 63 total World Cup podiums and is inching closer to Gustavo Thoeni, who came in at 69. Unreachable at the top is Alberto Tomba with 88.
