Women’s Six Nations, 30 summoned for Parma gathering
The Technical Commissioner of the National Women's Rugby Team of Italy, Giovanni Raineri, has released the list of 30 athletes summoned for the gathering to be held in Parma, Italy, at the facilities of the Cittadella del Rugby from January 18 to 21. È the gathering that opens the 2024 of the Azzurre, who are reunited after the positive experience in South Africa, where they participated in the first edition of the WXV, finishing Division 2 in the lead, tied with Scotland, which took home the trophy by virtù of the best points difference.
From Parma will start the march to the Guinness Women's Six Nations, which for Italy will begin Sunday, March 24, at Sergio Lanfranchi Stadium in Parma against defending champions and vice world champions England. Noteworthy in the list of 30 summoned players is the first call-up of Rubina Grassi, a former Parabiago winger playing for the French club Toulon. Athletes registered for English clubs, engaged that weekend in the eighth round of Premiership Women's Rugby, will not participate in the gathering.
