At 20 years and 6 days old, è the youngest Spurs player to score a triple double

Another feat by the very young phenom Wembanyama. In the challenge won by the Spurs over the Pistons (130-108), the first overall pick of the last NBA Draft put up what è was the very first triple double of his still short career. In a record time of 21'02" on the court, the Frenchman scored 16 points, captured 12 rebounds and also churned out 10 assists.

In the 24" era, only Russell Westbrook, the king of triple-doubles, has taken less time to put up a triple-double. The current LA Lakers player, in 2014, had taken 20'17" to succeed in the feat. Behind him now is Wembanyama, who also, at 20 years and 6 days, è the youngest Spurs player to have achieved a triple double.

"To do something like that in a game we won è the ultimate, of course. Little did I know that I was the second-fastest player in NBA history to accomplish that. For me è that was important. This è the kind of performance we want to do as a team", the words of Wembanyama himself in the post match reported by ESPN. For the record, è it was Spurs’ win number six of the season (30 defeats).
