Devis Cagnardi vs. his past

Pallacanestro Cantù is getting ready to face Fortitudo Agrigento on Sunday at 12 p.m., within the friendly walls of PalaDesio, in a match that the Brianzoli (strong from the victory on the parquet of Turin conquered last Sunday) will want to win to consolidate the second place in the standings and to redeem the defeat of the first leg against the Sicilians, but also to regain the domestic success after the two home defeats against Trapani and Urania Milano.

Coach Devis Cagnardi, among other things a former player of the game having coached Agrigento for two non-consecutive seasons (2019/20 and 2022/23), presented the challenge: "We lost the last two home games and we feel indebted to our fans for that and getting back to win in front of them è our main motivation" he said.

"In addition, we have the goal of the Italian Cup FinalFour to reach and so these are two points we can’t let slip away," added Cagnardi.

We always say that every game è is difficult and the fact that we lost at their home è is a demonstration of that. After the change of coach we expect their emotional reaction, combined with the fact that they will propose unprecedented situations that we should be good at reading during the game".

"Our intention è to play with consistency and intensityà for the entire 40 minutes, with the entire team ready so thaté each of the players can make their contribution" then concluded the coach of the Brianza club. In the standings, Cantù è second in its group with 26 points (13 won, 5 lost), Agrigento è tenth at 10 (opposite path, 5 won and 13 lost). In the lead there'è Trapani, with as many as 34 points the result of 17 wins and only one loss.
