Cornelia Huetter won the super-G in Altenmarkt-Zauchensee, recovery of the cancelled race in St. Moritz, with a very precise performance in the technical part and great speed, especially in the final stretch. The Austrian’s time è of 1’13″17, only 9 cents better than the Norwegian Kaisa Lie and 21 over Lara Gut-Behrami, who climbs on the’last step of the podium.

Then comes Italy, with Federica Brignone’s fourth place at 32 hundredths from the winner: a gap that the Valle d’Aosta woman accumulated all in the final stretch of the slope, when she was in the race for victory. Excellent fifth place for Marta Bassino, who appeared much more motivated than in her last outings. They are 45 hundredths of delay accused by the Piedmontese, who was also late in the final stretch. Out went Sofia Goggia, due to an’excessive inclination in the final stretch of the slope, which caused the Bergamo native to slip without consequences.

Laura Pirovano, who started with bib number 1, charged 1″71 behind the leader. With this victory, Huetter jumps to the top of the specialty ranking with 230 points, ahead of Brignone at 195 and Lie with 173. Goggia drops to fourth place with 160 points.

In the overall, Brignone makes up points on Mikaela Shiffrin, who is absent due to illness, and rises to 747, 182 less than the’American. Third è Petra Vlhova, also absent, with 722 points. The downhill will be held on Saturday, always with the start set for 10:45 a.m.
