Ascoli slows down Parma, Venezia and Cremonese get closer
The leader brakes, and those chasing get closer.
Parma forced to a home draw at the Tardini against Ascoli: the leader does not go beyond 1-1, and now sees the second in the standings move back to 4 points behind. It is Venezia, which led by an unstoppable Pohjanpalo overwhelms Sampdoria 5-3. Cremonese also climbs, who needed only a 1-0 home win to get the better of Cosenza and hoist themselves to a solitary fifth place in the standings.
In Parma, the match is decided in the second half. The first sees the hosts rejoice for the apparent lead signed Benedyczak, which però the Var cancels for offside. The goals then came in the second half, with Botteghin putting Ascoli ahead at 60' and Del Prato tying it at 70' signing the goal of the final draw. Guests in numerical inferiority in the final for double yellow to Bellusci.
Decidedly more pyrotechnic match in Venice: great protagonist è Pohjanpalo, author of the first lagoon advantage at 16' and of the doubling on a penalty at 36' after the momentary draw of Benedetti (then expelled before the interval). Then è again he dropped the tic-tac-toe at 58', but Sampdoria reacted and drew level again thanks to De Luca (65') and Depaoli (71'). The hosts, however, are skillful and quick to react, so much so that already at 74' and 78' they finally close the accounts with Busio and Ellertsson authors of the fourth and fifth goals for the Venetians. On the other hand, 76' è was the minute in which Cremonese’s victory was decided, thanks to Antov’s goal against Cosenza.
