Fiorentina knocks on Hellas Verona’s door again
Fiorentina, after Faraoni the next target è Ngonge
Fiorentina continues to move in the calciomercato sphere and, after the arrival of Davide Faraoni, is knocking again on Hellas Verona's door, this time for Cyril Ngonge. According to a report by 'Sport Mediaset', contacts between the two clubs would have intensified again in the last few hours, after an initial survey in the very first days of the year by the violets.
The good relations between the two managements could facilitate the success of the negotiation, although Hellas wants to first assess whether it will be the case of an important player for the salvation objective, perhaps in exchange for a technical quid pro quo or an amount that could allow them to operate in turn in the market.
Ngonge, class of 2000, è in Italy since January 2023, when Hellas Verona picked him up from Groningen, a club that was then engaged in the Dutch Eredivisie. With the Scaligeri he è proved immediately decisive, scoring in the second half of 2022/23 5 goals, two of them in the salvation playoff against Spezia.
To complete the deal, the two teams still have little more than two weeks: the window dedicated to the winter market, this season, will in fact end on February 1° at 8 p.m., and not on January 31 as had been the case in recent seasons. Twenty-four more hours to try, therefore, to take advantage of the repair market to reinforce their roster or, on the other hand, make cash or get rid of "redundancies".
