In the second set, although the Swiss put up a fight, Elisabetta maintained control and eventually closed out the match with a score of 6-1, 7-5 in one hour and 12 minutes, earning passage to the second round in Melbourne for the first time.

Giulio Zeppieri also looked good, snatching the first set from Dusan Lajovic with a score of 6-3. In the second set, Lajovic è managed to get a break and pull ahead. But Zeppieri fought back strongly in the third set, using his powerful serve and heavy forehand to take the lead in the match. Martina Trevisan also contributed to the Italian success, earning a comeback victory over Renata Zarazua. This brought the total of Italians in the second round of the Happy Slam to 8, a significant achievement in the history of the tournament.
