The words of Beppe Marotta

L'Inter CEO Beppe Marotta, host of the podcast "Wolf – Stories that matter", hosted by Fedez, gave a lengthy interview, also removing a pebble from his shoe. "When I arrived at’Inter perhaps the fans saw me as an intruder or worse, since I came from Juve – he admitted -. In sport, forò it is the results that count and, by merit and luck, since I arrived at’Inter, good results have come. So now I think I am liked by a good part of Inter".

On his future he said: "When I close my experience at’Inter I want to continue to dedicate myself to sports, but in a different dimension. I would like to deal with sport as a social phenomenon. In Italy, not only compared to the U.S., but also compared to other European countries, we are far behind both on facilities and the practice of grassroots sports. I want to make my experience available so thaté children and young people who want to play soccer, and not only that, can do so for free in adequate facilities".

The Nerazzurri'ad also dwelt on the deal that will bring Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus: "His purchase by Juve did not yield the desired results. His contribution has not matched the high expectations that there were for his arrival".

"The stadium è the place of feelings, history and the home of football belonging. But they must also be at the same time a source of income for the teams. Here in Italy we are behind the other European leagues. We have obsolete facilities, just think of San Siro: it should be respected as an icon and for what it è has been in its history, but we have to look forward. The bureaucratic process in our country è too long and composed of a series of very long administrative levels so much so that it becomes impossible to realize anything. That is why we and Milan have thought of looking for other ways to build the new stadium" concluded Marotta.
