Lorenzo Sonego, è almost a victory: "I still have a lot of margins"

Lorenzo Sonego commented positively on his performance against Carlos Alcaraz, despite losing in the second round of the Australian Open. The Piedmontese tennis player gave the Spanish champion a hard time and feels that he can still improve in the future: "I saw that I have a lot of margins, especially on the backhand and in the response: this è a very positive thing, because é if I can already make even matches with some difficulties, if I can put some things right I can take some satisfaction", he said at the press conference.

"We have not given ourselves any particular ranking goals, we are trying to play at a higher and higher level and in fact will make the trip to Europe and then go to Dubai becauseé there’è a very high level: I can compete at this level to improve my strokes and try next year to make results".

On the strength of the Spaniard: "Alcaraz attacks you right from the response and puts you in trouble right away; his ball è heavy and he can steal time in the part especially on the backhand, he anticipates a lot and he was putting me in trouble" with the cross backhand".
