Australian Open: no feat for Flavio Cobolli
No feat for Flavio Cobolli at the Australian Open: the Italian tennis player succumbed in three sets against Australian Alex De Minaur, who in the previous round had eliminated another Italian, Matteo Arnaldi. The world number 10 è qualified to the round of 16 after a match that lasted just over two hours.
Nothing to do for the 21-year-old Italian, folded with the partials of 6-3, 6-3, 6-1 by the "demon" Australian, in great form in front of the home crowd.
Cobolli played almost evenly with the host for the first two sets, and consoled himself with a return to the Top 100 and the best Slam result in his career.
De Minaur in the round of 16 will challenge the winner of the match between Korda and Rublev: if he makes it to the quarters the opponent will be one between Sinner and Khachanov.
