Carlos Alcaraz ahead all the way at the Australian Open. The Spanish world number two tennis player overwhelmed the promising 19-year-old Chinese Shang, who could not withstand the shock of the very strong Iberian. The Murcia outfielder è won 6-1, 6-1 in the first two sets, while early in the third Shang è withdrew due to thigh trouble.

In the round of 16, Alcaraz will meet Miomir Keckmanovic, who bent U.S. Tommy Paul in five sets. Also doing well was Poland’s Hubert Hurkacz, who got the better of France’s Ugo Humbert in four sets.

Arthur Cazaux continues to make France dream: the world number 120 after resoundingly defeating top ten Holger Rune cleared the Dutch Griekspoor in three sets with the scores of 6-3, 6-3, 6-1.

The 21-year-old transalpine enters the Top 100 for the first time in his career: he will face off in the round of 16 against top seed Hurkacz.
