Dominance of Sara Hector in Jasna. Falls for Federica Brignone and Petra Vlhova
It ends with a domination by Sara Hector at the SuperG in Jasna (Slovakia). The Swedish skier, despite the extreme conditions of the slope, set the best time in 1’10″18, ahead of American Mikaela Shiffrin and New Zealander Alice Robinson, who accumulated a gap of more than a second to the Sandviken native. Closing out the top 5 were Croatia’s Zrinka Ljutic and Switzerland’s Camille Rast.
Rounding out the top 10 are Norway's Ragnhild Mowinckel, Lara Gut-Behrami of Norway, American AJ Hurt, Thea Louise Stjernesund of Norway and Lara Colturi of Italy. Much further back were Roberta Melesi and Marta Bassino, who finished the race respectively 5 and 8 seconds behind the Swede.
Comes the fall, however, for the leader of the specialty ranking; Federica Brignone, who, accomplice to the prohibitive conditions of the track, lost the outside of the left ski, facing the third gate, but without reporting serious consequences. The situation was different for Petra Vlhova, who, after touching the icy surface with her boot è crashed into the nets, resuming a bad twist to her right knee.
