NBA: Lakers collapse at home, Denver takes on Boston. Embiid sets record

The Denver Nuggets impose on the Boston Celtics their first loss of the season on their home floor (100-102). Making the difference was Nikola Jokic, who ended the night with 34 points, 12 rebounds and 9 assists. Boston didn’t need just 24 points from Derrick White. Thanks to a resounding LaMelo Ball in the fourth quarter (16 points out of 28 total) the Charlotte Hornets return to victory after 6 consecutive losses against the San Antonio Spurts, beaten 124-120.

The Los Angeles Lakers collapsed in the second half and succumbed sharply at home against the Brooklyn Nets 130-112. Cam Thomas started off the bench and scored 33 points, and the Lakers were not satisfied with LeBron James (24 points) and Anthony Davis (26 points). LeBron and his teammates are in danger of falling out of the Western Conference play-in zone: their record è of 21 wins and 22 losses.

Joel Embiid with 36 points leads Philadelphia to victory against the Orlando Magic: for Embiid è the 19th game in a row over 30 points, a record for the 46ers.
