Frosinone-Cagliari 3-1

Frosinone beats Cagliari 3-1, overturning a goal disadvantage, in the Sunday match at 12:30 valid for the 21st round of Serie A: the Gialloblù thus avenge the comeback that allowed the islanders to win the first match 4-3 and above all return to success after almost two months in the league, thus moving away from the hot zone of the standings.

Di Francesco’s team starts better from the point of view of the volume of play but at the first lunge, on the other side of the field, Ranieri’s men pass: to sign the lead at 26'è Ibrahim Sulemana, who takes advantage of the ball arrived in the middle of the area after the contrast between Okoli and Petagna to place it behind Turati.

Frosinone immediately started looking for the equalizer and seemed to find it in the first minute of the first half, thanks to Barrenechea: after a long check first in the Var Room and then at the on-field review, the goal was canceled due to a clash between Brescianini and Dossena that referee Dionisi deemed foul.

We have to wait until the last half hour for the decisive comeback: at 64'è Luca Mazzitelli to score the equalizer with a header, exploiting in the best way the cross of Harroui, while at 75' è a splendid free kick by Matias Soulé to be worth the goal of 2-1, to the delight of the home fans flocked to the 'Benito Stirpe'.

In the final Cagliari almost took it back: è Turati, with a spectacular reflex, to deny the veteran rossoblù 94' the equalizer. On the next corner, the islanders lost the ball, and from the counterattack came Zortea’s sprint that led to Kaio Jorge’s goal, which effectively closed the match: it ended 3-1, after five defeats in a row the gialloblù riassaporano the joy of success.
