News of the incurable cancer that would leave Sven Goran Eriksson with only a year to live has gone around the world. The Swedish former Roma and Lazio coachè has always been a Liverpool fan, so Jürgen Klopp issued an invitation to his unfortunate colleague.

"Obviously è it was very moving when I heard the news. I learned for the first time about his admiration and love for Liverpool, and that he had been a fan of them all his life. The only thing I can say è that è he is welcome, he can come whenever he wants and sit in my office doing my job for a day".

"There'è no problem as far as I am concerned. Leading the team from the sidelines might be more complicated. Having him here and showing him all that this wonderful club has built over the years … I think it would be wonderful hours for him to spend here with us".
