Australian Open: Arnaud Clement no holds barred over Jannik Sinner
The words of Arnaud Clement
Jannik Sinner’s run at the Australian Open è has been perfect so far. The South Tyrolean tennis player, in fact, reached the quarterfinals of the Australian Slam without conceding a single set to his opponents, something that has not è succeeded to any other player left in the competition, candidating himself, a fortiori, among the main favorites to win the title.
In this regard, former French tennis player Arnaud Clement, a finalist in Melbourne in 2001, expressed himself, showing few doubts about the Italian: "Last year we were talking about Djokovic and Alcaraz, now we even wonder if Sinner has taken the Spaniard’s place. I think the Italian this year will win the Australian Open".
"Whyé? Becauseé he would face Djokovic in the semifinals, so if he wins he would potentially be favored in the final against’Alcaraz and also because of the level of play he has been showing us for several months" added Clement. Meanwhile, Sinner will have to overcome the Andrey Rublev obstacle, the fifth seed in the seeding, in the quarterfinals. The challenge against the Russian tennis player è scheduled for Tuesday at 11 a.m. Italian time on Rod Laver Arena.
