Adriano Panatta: "He was not the usual Jannik Sinner"

Adriano Panatta at the microphones of the podcast "The Phone Call" for Il Tennis Italiano had his say on Jannik Sinner’s performance against Andrey Rublev at the Australian Open: "I watched the first two sets, the third I said: I prefer to watch cartoons. Rublev beats himself…".

The blue tennis player then elaborated: "Today Sinner didn&#39t seem to me like the other times, a little bit more dull but this is still enough to beat someone like Rublev".

According to Panatta, even not at his best Sinner è now clearly superior to Rublev: "He served quite well, then the other on 5-1 at the tiebreak of the second slowed down, very smart… And so è Sinner sent him home, all even. He now è beyond these players, number 5, 6, 7… They should make the tournaments only among the top 4. He now è another category".

With Novak Djokovic it will be totally different, però: "If he loses to Sinner he skips the Grand Slam right away, which è what he wants to do. And this could be his last year".
