Jorge Lorenzo reveals a backstory on Yamaha and Valentino Rossi

During an interview given to the Youtube channel "Tengo un Plan", former centaur Jorge Lorenzo, among the various topics covered, dwelt on winning the world title in 2015 in the last race in Valencia by beating teammate Valentino Rossi. In added, the Spaniard also spoke on the reasons that led him to say goodbye to Yamaha in the 2016 season.

"2016 è was my last year at Yamaha and I stayed there for 7-8 years. I won three titles, but always being in the same team with the same bike, I was lacking motivation. I also knew the value of Dall'Igna and his ability to accomplish everything he set out to do. I wanted to ride the best bike and moving to Ducati è it was like when Hamilton left McLaren to move to Mercedes, I had the same intuition as him" began the former Yamaha centaur.

"I decided to leave Yamaha for several reasons, first and foremost for motivation, but also becauseé the stable did notè behave very well in 2015 towards me, becauseé they supported Valentino more and it was noticedò clarification in Valencia. I felt a little bit despised. In addition, I really thought that Dall'Igna would build the best bike and that Ducati would be the future of MotoGP. They gave me a million-dollar contract, 15 percent more than Yamaha. However, it was not the money that made me make this decision, but mainly the motivation and the incentive to try a new experience" Jorge Lorenzo commented.
